ISTANBUL:

Ottoman Heritage
Breakfast at the Hotel. Morning visit to the Topkapi Palace Museum with Treasury and Harem Sections to enjoy the dazzling displays of the Treasures of Ottoman Sultans, and the porcelain collection, which is unique in the world. Continue to the Mosque of Suleyman the Magnificent. This is the largest mosque and was built for Suleyman the Magnificent in the 1550s by the great architect Sinan. The Sultan and his wife are buried in exquisitely tiled toms here.
• Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays. Topkapı Palace will be replaced by the Dolmabahce Palace.

Jewish Heritage
Departure from the hotel. Visit the Galata Tower in the Galata section, which was the center of the old Jewish community. See the Neve Shalom Synagogue, the Askenazy Synagogue, and the Zulfaris Jewish Museum - once a synagogue. Free time allowed for lunch. Afternoon visit to the Balat section, where the star of David appears on the facade of some of the buildings, then visit the Ahrida Synagogue, built in 1412, the Yanbol Synagogue, a Jewish home for the aged, and the Jewish Cemetery. Return to the hotel.

Bosphorus to Princes Islands
Departure from the Hotel. Embark on a Private Boat for a Cruise on the Bosphorus, the winding strait that separates Europe from Asia. Enjoy the view of the old wooden villas, marble palaces and the ancient fortresses. Disembark at the largest of the Prince’s Islands; “Buyukada”, an island on the Marmara Sea, which is a beautiful summer resort. Lunch at the Fish Restaurant. Byzantine Marvels
Morning visit the site of the famous Hippodrome, where chariot races and athletic events took during the Roman period. Begun in 203 AD, it was continually enlarged until it could seat 100,000. Nearby is the Underground Cistern, which was the water source for both the Grand Palace of the Byzantine Emperors and for the Ottomans Topkapi Palace.Contunie to the St. Sophia Museum, the masterpiece of Byzantine architecture. Turkish Night Show
Departure from the hotel. Dinner and oriental floor show including belly dancers, folklore dancers, singers and other attractions at a “Night Club”. Return to the hotel. 4-courses set menu and half bottle of wine are included. Return to the Hotel.

Sultans Palaces (AM or PM)
Departure from the hotel. Visit the magnificent Dolmabahce Palace; a 19th century palace built in the rococo style. Then visit another palace, the Chalet Pavilion, surrounded by beautiful gardens and return to the hotel.

Istanbul in Asia (AM)
Departure from the hotel. Drive over the intercontinental Bosphorus Bridge to Camlica Hill (Pine Hill) on the Asian Side to see the beautiful panoramic view of Istanbul, then visit the Beylerbeyi Palace, the summer residence of the Ottoman Sultans with its original furniture and magnificent gardens. Then visit a typical fisherman’s village along the Bosphorus with shopping possibilities. Return to the hotel. • Beylerbeyi Palace is closed on Mondays & Thursdays.

Bosphorus Cruise (Regular Ferry / AM or PM)
Departure from the hotel. Visit the Misir Carsisi or Spice Bazaar, at Eminonu, transports you to fantasies from the mystical East. The enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other conceivable herb and spice fill the air. Then Cruise on the Bosphorus, the winding strait that separates Europe from Asia. Enjoy the view of the old wooden villas, marble palaces and the ancient fortresses. Disembark on the European side. Ottoman Art - (PM)
Departure from the hotel. Visit the legendary Museum of Topkapi Palace to visit the dazzling displays of the treasures of the Ottoman Sultans. Later visit the Mosque of Suleyman the Magnificent. Then drive along the coast of the Golden Horn overlooking the historical walls and churches of the Byzantine period. Return to the hotel. • Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays and will be replaced by the Dolmabahce Palace.

BYZANTIAN ART (AM)
Departure from the hotel. Visit the Museum of St. Sophia, the masterpiece of Byzantine architecture, Hippodrome, where chariot races and athletic events took place during the Roman period. The Blue Mosque, famous for its six minarets and magnificent interior with blue tiles, continue to the Sts. Sergius and Bachus Church, originally constructed in the sixth century as the church of Sts. Sergius and Bacchus and was located within the confines of the Hormisdas Palace on the Sea of Marmara, south of the Hippodrome. Grand Bazaar. You will have shopping opportunities for carpets, leather goods, jewellery, copper-ware etc. and return to the hotel. • The Museum of St. Sophia is closed on Mondays. Museum of St. Sophia will be replaced by the Museum of “St. Saviour” of Chora. • The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays.

Contrsts of Istanbul
Departure from the hotel. Visit the Ecumenical Orthodox Patriarchate at Phanar. Continue to Eyup Mosque situated outside the city walls, near the Golden Horn. It is the first mosque built after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul. Last stop will be the Rahmi Koc Industrial Museum, which is the first major museum in Turkey dedicated to the history of Transport, Industry and Communications. On the shore of the historic Golden Horn, the collection contains thousands of items from gramophone needles to full size ships and aircrafts.
Return to the Hotel. • Rahmi Koc Industrial Museum is closed on Mondays.

PERA" RELIGION & HISTORY & ART
Departure from the Hotel.

Visit Nusretiye and Kilic Ali Pasha Mosque, Tophane Fountain, Turkish Orthodox Patriarchate, Surp Krikor Lusorovich, the oldest Armenian Church, St. Andrea Russian Church, taking the worlds third oldest train tunnel, to go to "Pera". Visit the lodge of the Whirling Dervishes, Galata Mevlevihanesi, later on visit Galata Tower. Return to the Hotel.

Archeology (AM)
Departure from the hotel to visit the Cinili Kosk or Pavilion (the Museum of Turkish Tiles) built by Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror in the 15th century where there are fine examples of Seljuk and Ottoman tiles & ceramics. Then visit the famous Archeological Museum with a very rich collection of classical antiquities including the celebrated Alexander Sacrophage and the Temple of Athena. After seeing different displays of antiquities from the Sumerian, Babylonian, Assyrian, Hatti and Hittite civilizations. Princes Island
Departure from the hotel. Embark the local ferry for a cruise to the largest of the Prince’s Islands; “Buyukada”, an island on the Marmara Sea, which is a beautiful summer resort. After lunch, have a tour around the island by horse driven carriages. Then return to Istanbul by boat and transfer to the Hotel.

Turkish Bath
Departure from the hotel for the Turkish Bath. The baths or hamams as they are named, are for many aspects of health, not just for external cleanliness.The bather enters the dry heat of a sweating area. Afterwards, the bather begins to perspire heavily because of a wet steam. The skin is then washed with soap and warm water and the muscles massaged. After being scoured and washed, the bathers body temperature returns to normal from swimming in cold water. Return to the Hotel. Necessities are provided. We suggest that you bring your own moisturize, shampoo etc. Return to the Hotel.

Departure from the hotel to “Sardis”, the capital of ancient Lydia. See the ruins of the Temple of Cybele and Diana, where a church was added later. Pergamon

Ephesus

Then, proceed to Miletus, one of the principal Ionian cities and home of Thales, twice visited by St. Paul. Bodrum Mini Charter: (Day 1) BODRUM ARRIVAL - EMBARKATION Embarkation to the Gulet. The first overnight in Bodrum harbour provides a gentle introduction to the Gulet and your travelling companions. Dinner on Board. (Day 2) KARAADA - CATI GULF Departure after breakfast. First stop by Karaada. The Island is famous for its hot springs and dark caves which you can swim into. After lunch, across the Gulf today we continue to the marvellous natural harbour of Cati, a lovely bay surrounded with pine trees on the south coast of the Gulf. (Day 3) SEVEN ISLANDS Sail to Seven Islands - always a popular choice, plenty of pine-clad secluded bays and coves to investigate. Antique City; One of Seven Wonders
Departure from the hotel for the Antique city of Bodrum, which has a rich 3000-year history, replete with military campaigns, naval victories, knights and conquests. Starting the tour from the very well preserved architectural complex Bodrum Castle which was used by the knights to carry out raids in the Aegean Coast and served as a refuge for Christians fleeing Turkish captivity. Dalyan-Kaunos Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, departure for a Lycian Coast experience. Drive through the inlands to Xanthos, the capital of Lycia. Departure for Kayaking activity. Kayak across to Kekova Island, landing at Tersane bay to explore ruins and swim in the sheltered cove. Paddle over Kekova’s sunken city, viewing the ancient port through the clear waters just below the surface. Lunch at the idyllic village of Simena which is only accessible by boat. Climb up to the castle for stunning views over the whole region and visit the ancient necropolis full of tombs dotted over the hillside. Paddle past the famous sarcophagus standing in the sea before paddling back to the pretty port of Ucagiz.

Daily Meis Trip (Kastellorizo-Greek Island) Ferry
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for “overseas” experience. A very pleasant day trip to a tiny Dodecanese island with a population of a couple hundred, sitting opposite the harbor of Kas. Departure from the hotel to explore capital city of Turkey. History of Ankara goes back to Hatti Civilisation, Bronze Age. Thousand years ago , before the time of Jesus, the Hittites become the dominant power of the region, and it followed by the Phyrgians, Lydians and Persians. Ancyra, which means anchor. Visit visit Anatolian Civilizations Museum located around Ankara Castle. Exhibits in the museum, starts with Paleolithic era and continue through chronological order. Guzelyurt Canyon & Hasan Volcano Tour
Departure from the hotel and drive to Guzelyurt area and visit Kaymakli Underground City on the way. Arrival Guzelyurt and the St. Gregory of the Naziansus which built in 4th Century and short walk in this historical old village. Commonly inhabited by Greeks untill population exhange between Greece and Turkey.Have lunch in Karballa House, previously girls monastary and today’s renovated hotel. Cappadocia Classic Tour
Departure from the hotel and start touring with wonderful Devrent Valley where the weather has eroded the stone into peaks, cones and obelisks called fairy chimneys. Pasabagi, a three-capped chimney in the middle of valley was the retreat to the monk Simeon. Visit Avanos, experience pottery making. Lunch. Drive to Goreme National Park which is like an open-air museum. There are 15 churches large and small, seven refectories, and various tombs and cellars including wine cellars. Visit the Citadel of Uchisar and Guvercinlik Valley also called Pigeon Valley for the hundreds of holes perforating the rock face whose droppings provided valuable fertilizer to the neighboring farmers. Meet your trekking guide and departure from the hotel. Drive to Cavusin, old village and visit St.John the Baptist church, which probably the first sample of basilica in christian church in the area. Heap up to Boztepe and enjoy trekking while Rose and Red Valley is under your feet. Arrival at the entrance of the Red Valley in 1 ½ hours and rest & photo break. Proceed to Red Valley, where the colour come from iron oxide and observe small chapels in the valleys.U-turn to Cavusin Village and meet your vehicle. Enjoy late lunch in Avanos town, where red river is and visit pottery ateilers. After tour, transfer back to your hotel.

Horseback Riding

Whirling Dervishes Ritual
Departure from the hotel early in the evening and drive to Saruhan Caravanserai, built in 13th century. Today the caravanserai is home to many cultural events, particulary whirling dervishes ritual. Enjoy this mystic ritual and religous music for an hour. After ritual transfer back to your hotel.

Hot Air Balloon Ride
Depending on the weather conditions, in the early morning before sunrise, transfer to the meeting point for the tour with Hot-air balloons. Estimated flying time is 1 hour, after the tour champagne breakfast will be served at the landing site. "Out in the wilderness a Champagne Breakfast" . It is a great way of visiting the land of the Fairy Chimneys. Diplomas will be given to all ballooners. Return to the hotel.
